Xiaomi sub-brand Redmi launched the K60 series smartphones in December last year. Now, details of a new device in the lineup i.e. the K60 Ultra have surfaced online. The Redmi K60 Ultra is expected to arrive as the successor to the last year’s K50 Ultra.

Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station has shared some information about the Redmi K60 Ultra. In a Weibo post, he revealed that the device will arrive in the third quarter this year i.e. the period between July to September. As per the tipster, the device will feature an AMOLED display bearing a resolution of 1.5K pixels with support for a high refresh rate, probably 144Hz. It will be equipped with a metallic frame for a strong texture.

DCS states that the Redmi K60 Ultra will reportedly be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9200 SoC under the hood. In comparison, the K60 Pro is equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. The battery capacity of the K60 Ultra is not known but the tipster adds that the device will support 100W fast charging. This is also a slight downgrade from the Redmi K50 Ultra which has a 120W charging speed.

There is no additional information about the Redmi K60 Ultra at the moment. We are still in the first quarter of the year and there is still time till Q3. Hence, we expect more details about the smartphone to surface in the future. Redmi also has other products in the pipeline with the Redmi Note 12 Turbo expected to debut in China later this month.
