Huawei has multiple new smartphones that are expected to debut soon. The first is the Huawei P60 series which is expected to consist of the P60, P60 Pro, and P60 Ultra models. Other than that, the Huawei Mate X3 foldable smartphone is also expected to break cover soon.

The brand has now officially confirmed that these drives will debut together on March 23 in China. The official teaser poster mentions that the P60 series and Mate X3 series launch event will commence on March 23 at 14:30 CST. Without further ado, let’s look at what’s known about these devices so far.

Huawei P60 series

The upcoming P60 models from Huawei are rumored to feature the company’s own XMAGE photography technology, with an upgrade to XMAGE 2.0. Reports suggest that the P60 Pro will include a primary 50MP Sony IMX888 sensor and a 50MP Sony IMX858 extreme wide-angle sensor, along with a third telephoto camera equipped with a 64MP OV64B Omnivision sensor and 3.5x optical zoom. Additionally, it is expected that the P60 Pro will be powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 CPU, while the base model may feature a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. These chipsets will only provide 4G connectivity due to the 5G ban on Huawei.

The P60 Pro is also said to feature a 6.6-inch OLED display that will produce a 120Hz refresh rate and a 1440p resolution. The battery pack is said to be of 5,000mAh and could offer 100W wired and 50W wireless charging.

Huawei Mate X3

Details about the inner display size of the upcoming Mate X3 from Huawei have not been revealed yet, but sources suggest it will have a 2K resolution. The device is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset, however, it may not support 5G connectivity due to the ongoing US sanctions.

Leaks suggest that the Mate X3 will feature a 4,800mAh battery with 66W fast charging capabilities, and a rear camera setup led by a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 camera. The camera setup will also include a Sony IMX688 ultra-wide lens and an IMX351 periscope zoom camera.

It is likely that the Huawei Mate X3 will run on the latest version of HarmonyOS and may even offer support for satellite connectivity, according to a previous report.
