We have been looking forward to the launch of the Poco F5 for quite a while now. Recently, the brand’s Indian head started teasing its arrival. Today, the chipset inside this phone has been announced officially.

The Twitter account of Qualcomm Snapdragon India reveals that the upcoming Poco F5 will be powered by a Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 2 SoC. It will be the first smartphone in the country with this chip.

We already know the chipset underneath the forthcoming Poco F5. In fact, we know almost everything about it. Because the device is nothing but a rebranded Redmi Note 12 Turbo for global markets.

The only things that are not known are the handset’s price and availability. Perhaps, even these details may get leaked soon as we are nearing the official launch.

Talking about primary specs, the Poco F5 will arrive with a 6.67-inch 12-bit 120Hz OLED display, an OIS-assisted 64MP primary camera, dual stereo speakers, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, Android 13-based MIUI 14, a 5,000mAh battery, and 67W fast wired charging.

In India, the phone has been confirmed to come with 256GB storage as standard. Customers will be able to choose between 8GB and 12GB RAM variants.

As per a leak, the device will be available in black, white, and blue color options. Currently, it’s not known if there will be a special edition like Redmi Note 12 Turbo Harry Potter Edition.
