Believe it or not, the Google Pixel Fold is now a reality. The long-awaited foldable was unveiled yesterday during the I/O conference, along with the Pixel 7a and the Pixel Tablet. While this is great news for some, many folks would be disappointed to know they won’t be able to purchase the smartphone anytime soon. This includes Google fans in India who have been eagerly waiting for the Pixel Fold to arrive.

Google Pixel Fold won’t be Sold in India, at least for now

The Pixel Fold has finally been made official and is now available for pre-order on the Google Store. However, during the launch event, Google mentioned that the foldable phone will be sold in limited markets. The fortunate regions where the device will be available include the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, and Japan. Unfortunately, developing markets such as India and others have been left out for now, and the company has not announced if the Pixel Fold will ever be released in these markets.

For now, our Indian readers can just be happy knowing that a Google foldable is real as a donut and that people will soon be using it in some parts of the world. In the US, the Pixel Fold will be available for a starting price of $1,799. It will be available in “Obsidian” and “Porcelain” colors only. There’s also a 512GB variant, which costs a fortune ($1,919 to be precise). Google is being generous by giving a free Pixel Watch worth $349 to those pre-ordering. The foldable will start shipping on June 27.

Even though you can’t buy the Pixel Fold in India, it’s still a good idea to stay informed about the device. You can head over here to read the detailed specifications of the new foldable.
