A micro-site has also emerged on Flipkart revealing all of the key details about the Edge 40. With an official Indian launch date set for May 23, the Motorola Edge 40 smartphone boasts a 6.55-inch OLED display with an FHD+ resolution, 144Hz refresh rate, 1,200 nits peak brightness, and an in-screen fingerprint scanner. The device is also IP68-certified for water and dust resistance and features dual stereo speakers that are tuned by Dolby Atmos.

The rear panel of the device houses a square-shaped camera module, which includes a 50MP main sensor with optical image stabilization and a 13MP ultra-wide-angle lens. Meanwhile, the front camera is a 32MP selfie shooter.

Under the hood, the Motorola Edge 40 is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8020 chipset, 8GB LPDDR4X RAM, and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. The device is fueled by a 4,400mAh battery that supports 68W wired charging and 15W wireless charging. The smartphone runs on Android 13 out of the box. The device will come in a total of three color options: Eclypse Black, Nebula Green, and Lunar Blue.

Pricing of the device is still under wraps, however, it is worth mentioning that the smartphone costs €550 for the sole 8GB + 256GB variant in Europe. Considering the fact that these devices are usually more expensive in Europe, the Edge 40 is expected to be relatively cheaper in India
