ASUS ROG Ally is arriving in India soon, but with a higher price tag

While the Taiwanese tech giant hasn’t officially confirmed the arrival of the ROG Ally to the Indian market, a recent online listing has revealed that it will be launching in the region sometime soon. The ROG Ally was spotted on MX2 Games, which is a known e-retailer for gaming related products. Looking at the online listing, we can see that the ROG Ally will be launching in India on June 13.

If this is true, then the ASUS handheld console will be launching in India in less than a month. The listing also adds that the ROG Ally with the AMD Ryzen Z1 processor will be available for a hefty price tag of 71,999 INR (roughly 875 US Dollars). On the other hand, the higher end AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor variant will reportedly have a 79,999 INR price tag (roughly 973 US Dollars). Unfortunately, it is unclear if the June 13 if both variants will launch alongside one another or would be sold one after the other.

The handheld console carried an original price tag of 599 US Dollars for its base Ryzen Z1 variant, which is roughly around 49,200 INR. Meanwhile, the Z1 Extreme variant went of sale for 699 US Dollars or about 57,400 INR. This means that the ROG Ally is quite a bit more expensive in the Indian market compared to its US launch. It remains to be seen if this is the final price tag, so stick around for more updates.
