Nothing has already confirmed that it will launch the Nothing Phone (2) in summer this year. It will arrive as the successor to the last year’s Phone (1). The brand has said that the Phone (2) will be a premium offering powered by a Snapdragon 8-series processor under the hood. The smartphone’s model number and key specifications have surfaced in the past. Now the device has been spotted on Geekbench benchmarking platform.

Nothing Phone (2) spotted on Geekbench

The Nothing Phone (2) is listed with model number A065 on the Geekbench database. It reveals a motherboard codenamed ‘taro’ with three cores clocked at 2.5GHz, four cores ticking at 1.8GHz, and one prime core at 3.0GHz. The listing corresponds to the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC and it is also in line with a past report of a Qualcomm executive accidentally revealing the same chipset. The Geekbench database shows the Nothing Phone (2) with 12GB RAM. It will run on Android 13 OS out of the box.

In the Geekbench’s single-core and multi-core test results, the Nothing Phone (2) managed to score 1,253 and 3,833 points respectively.

As per a leaked design render, the Nothing Phone (2) is expected to retain the same design as its predecessor. It will feature a transparent back panel, aluminium frame, and LED light lines (called Glyph interface). The smartphone is rumored to pack an FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED display, 256GB onboard storage, and a 5,000mAh battery unit.

The Nothing Phone (2) is likely slated to debut between June and August.
