iQOO had a busy day today as it unveiled the latest Neo 8 and 8 Pro smartphones in China, alongside the TWS Air Pro. While the new lineup will probably take a couple of months to make it to the global market, the company’s India CEO has teased the launch of a new model, likely the Neo 7 Pro. The handset could feature a more powerful chipset and better cameras. Here’s what we know so far.

iQOO Neo 7 Pro could bring high-end specs

iQOO India CEO, Nipun Marya recently shared a teaser on Twitter for an upcoming device. While the teaser did not reveal the name or design of the handset, it is believed to hint at an imminent launch of the iQOO Neo 7 Pro. As the name suggests, the device will be a more premium version of the iQOO Neo 7 which debuted back in February with the Dimensity 8200 chipset.

Details about the iQOO Neo 7 Pro are scarce but rumors suggest it will be a rebranded iQOO Neo 7 Racing Edition, offering the same specs and design. The latter was announced in China in December last year with a 6.78-inch E5 AMOLED display bearing an FHD+ resolution and a center-aligned punch-hole cutout. It offers a 120Hz refresh rate and 1,500 nits peak brightness.

iQOO Neo 7 Racing Edition is powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor with up to 16GB LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB UFS 3.1 storage. For photography, there’s a 50MP Samsung GN5 main sensor with OIS support, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2MP third unit. There is a 16MP selfie snapper on the front.  It is fueled by a 5,000mAh battery unit with support for 120W fast charging.
