Apple iPhone 16 series could be larger than their predecessors

At the moment, the Cupertino based giant is preparing for its September launch for the iPhone 15 lineup. However now, new information was recently shared by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman regarding the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone Pro Max models. The leak in question shares details about their displays. Gurman stated that the higher end Pro models launching in 2024 will sport a 6.3 inch and 6.9 inch displays.

In other words, the iPhone 16 Pro series will feature a taller display size than its predecessors. As per the tipster, the two Pro iPhones next year will be a taller by a “couple of tenths of an inch diagonally.” He further adds that the brand is making this move to make the devices more competitive with premium offerings from the likes of Samsung that offers larger screens. Notably, this is in line with our previous report based on a leak from DSCC’s Ross Young.

Thanks to a larger footprint, the upcoming premium iPhones would possibly be able to house larger batteries as well. On the other hand, the leak from Digital Chat Station revealed that the iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max will feature a 1/1.14 inch primary camera, which is likely the Sony IMX903. If this is true, then it means that the major camera upgrade for iPhones will be skipping the iPhone 15 Pro series and will arrive in the iPhone 16 Pro models.
