Earlier today (9th June 2023), Sony unveiled a brand new audio product in the Indian market. The new device is the HT-S2000 model, which is a soundbar that promises to deliver a great audio experience.

Sony HT-S2000 arrives with 5.1 channel Dolby Atmos

The Japanese tech giant’s new HT-S2000 soundbar features some notable specs like Dolby Atmos from a 5.1 channel and DTS:X to deliver a cinematic surround sound experience powered by Vertical Surround Engine and S-Force PRO Front Surround. Furthermore, the soundbar delivers a three dimensional surround experience when running stereo content. The speaker in the middle is to ensure clear dialogues while the dual subwoofers will deliver deep bass.

The new soundbar is paired with a new HEC (Home Entertainment Connect) application. This app makes it easier to get to the settings of the product as well as give full control over volume, sound fields, and more all from your smartphone. Notably, the soundbar can also be bought with an optional wireless subwoofer that helps amplify the bass sound. It is compatible with the BRAVIA XR television soundbar sound settings as well. This launch also arrives mere days after the company announced the new Bravia X82L Televisions With IMAX Enhanced Certification.

The HT-S2000 is built with sustainability in mind, using less plastic materials in the product itself and even its packaging. The areas that do use plastic are recycled plastics that helps reproduce improved acoustic performance. Sony is currently available for purchase via major electronic stores, ShopatSC, and other e-commerce platforms in India for a price tag of 42,990 INR. The rear speakers with soundbar and subwoofer will cost an additional 14,990 INR.
