FiiO is a popular manufacturer of audio accessories, including amplifiers, DACs, and hi-res professional earphones. The Chinese company recently launched a new pair of wireless earbuds with a rather interesting design and an independent DAC chip that lets you convert a digital audio signal into an analog one. The earbuds also IPX4 rating and up to 28 hours of battery life.

FiiO FW3 Specifications

The FiiO FW3 earbuds come with a stem-less design and feature a striking appearance. They get a compact boxy case which should easily fit in your pockets. Equipped with an AK4332 DAC chip, these earbuds offer high-performance decoding capability. They have a signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of up to 106dB, a distortion rate of as low as 96 dB, and a dynamic range of 102 dB.

For connectivity, the earbuds use a Qualcomm QCC5141 Bluetooth chip with dual DSP and dual-core CPU architecture. This ensures the dual stability of Bluetooth audio and system operation. The FW3 have also officially obtained the Snapdragon Sound certification.

The FiiO FW3 true wireless earbuds support the aptX, AAC, and SBC codecs. They are rated to last 7 hours on a single charge, and the charging case provides an additional 21 hours of battery life, for a total of 28 hours of listening time. The earbuds also have a low-latency game mode, which can be turned on through the FiiO Control App software. This mode reduces the transmission delay to less than 100ms, making it ideal for gaming.
