Leaks and rumors about the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 series have started gathering pace in recent time. The upcoming wearables are slated to debut at the brand’s Galaxy Unpacked event at the end of July. The next-generation Galaxy Watch 6 and Watch 6 Classic were spotted in leaked renders and their pricing was also leaked. Now, the core specifications of the smartwatches have surfaced online. 

Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 series core specifications leaked

A Twitter tipster has shared some more details about the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 and 6 Classic. These have also been quote tweeted by Ice Universe who is a well-known leakster. 

As per the tipster, the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 series models is expected to come with thinner bezels and larger screens than their predecessor. He adds that the screen size is increased by 20 percent while the back norgin has decreased by 30 percent. 

Under the hood, the Galaxy Watch 6 and Watch 6 Classic are said to be powered by an Exynos W930 processor that is built on a 5nm process. Both will pack 2GB RAM which is half a GB more than the previous generation. The smartwatches will have 16GB onboard storage. 

Coming to the battery, the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6’s 40 and 44mm size variants are tipped to get a 300 and 425mAh cell respectively. This is upgraded from the Watch 5’s 284 and 410mAh units on the same size models. The tipster adds that the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic’s two sizes will also share the same battery capacity as the vanilla variant with the base 43mm option getting 300mAh and 47mm version having 425mAh cell. This is quite a downgrade from the 590mAh battery on the last year’s Galaxy Watch 5 Pro.
