On one hand, Xiaomi reportedly cancels MIUI 14.5 update. But on the other, the company continues to release system updates for its devices. Two phones, namely Poco F5 and Redmi K50i have started receiving new software update in India.

According to Xiaomiui, Xiaomi has started rolling out a new software update for Poco F5 and Redmi K50i in India. The official changelog for this update only mentions June 2023 security patch.

Though the latest update is said to include only updated security patches, its size and version number vary for the two devices. The update weighs 255MB and 491MB for Poco and Redmi K50i, respectively.

It arrives with the following build numbers for these phones.

The update is currently live for Mi Pilots testers. However, it should be available for all regular users in the next few days. Users can check whether their handset has received the OTA system update from Settings.

In related news, Xiaomi recently announced that the monthly active users of MIUI exceeded 600 million. It took the company one and a half years to increase the number from 500 million.
