Honor recently confirmed that it will announce the Honor X50, a mid-range phone, on July 5 in China. As the name implies, it will replace the Honor X40 from last year. Reports have revealed that the Honor phone with model number ALI-AN00, which was approved by Chinese certifications such as 3C and TENAA recently, will debut under the name Honor X50 in China. Today, the brand rolled out a new poster to confirm the battery size of the phone.

The poster confirms that the Honor X50 will pack a 5,800mAh battery, which means it will offer 700mAh more battery juice than its predecessor, the Honor X40. While the brand is yet to confirm the fast charging capabilities of the phone, its 3C certification revealed that it may support 35W fast charging. In comparison, it is slightly slower than the 40W charging capabilities of the predecessor model.

Like the predecessor model, it will have a punch-hole screen with curved edges. The Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset will be the X50’s power source.

In related news, Honor is reportedly planning to launch the Honor Magic V2 foldable phone soon after the X50. The foldable phone is expected to come in two variants, such as the Magic V2 with Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 and the Magic V2 Supreme Edition with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, on July 12. The same event may see the arrival of a new flagship tablet from the brand.
