The Samsung Galaxy Smart Tag 2 has gotten Bluetooth SIG certification. The Smart Tag 2 comes with Bluetooth 5.3 support and it could be released as early as this month. Its release could coincide with the July Galaxy Unpacked event. The Bluetooth 5.3 support is an improvement over its predecessor, the Smart Tag which supported Bluetooth 5.2. This will improve power consumption, overall device performance, and an enhanced user experience.

The Galaxy Smart Tag 2 is the first iteration of the Samsung Galaxy SmartTag. The gadget had been a subject of a rumor back in April hinting that Samsung was working on the product. It was even speculated at that time that the gadget will be unveiled at the Unpacked event.

The latest listing of the Galaxy Smart Tag 2 on Bluetooth SIG points to the likely possibility of the gadget being launched this month. Although the Bluetooth SIG listing of the Smart Tag 2 provided scanty details, a few things are already known about the device. A previous leak has provided details that the new Smart Tag 2 will come with improvements across several aspects including the wireless range, enhanced security, and a longer-lasting battery.
