The Samsung Galaxy SmartTag 2 launch might just be right around the corner. A new certification listing has hinted that the successor to the company’s first Bluetooth smart tracker could be announced soon.
Samsung Galaxy SmartTag 2 Specs
For those unaware, the South Korean tech giant unveiled the first Galaxy SmartTag back in 2021. Now, the brand is finally planning on releasing the next-gen model after two years. Earlier this month, we reported on the upcoming Galaxy SmartTag 2 live photos being revealed via an FCC listing. A couple of days prior, another report claimed that Samsung’s new Bluetooth smart tracker will be launching later this year alongside the Galaxy Buds 3 TWS.
This time, the Galaxy SmartTag 2 surfaced on the NBTC certification platform carrying the model number EI-T5600. Furthermore, the listing also reveals that the smart tracker will support USB technology (ultra wide band). Based on earlier reports, the feature will be paired with Galaxy SmartTag 2’s Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity support. This marks a major upgrade over its predecessor, which lacked UWB support.
Although, the company did launch a refreshed Galaxy SmartTag+ model that supported this technology. Unfortunately, the NBTC listing does hint at its near launch but does not reveal any finer details regarding its specifications and pricing. So stick around for more as we will be providing updates when additional information is available regarding this matter.
