Samsung always keeps surprising its users with some new and useful features on their flagship smartphones. The August update for Galaxy S23’s Camera and Gallery App is here with some interesting developments and changes. The major changes include the introduction of the crop zoom feature and the optimization of several camera aspects to improve the quality and usability of both the Camera and the Gallery App.

Changes in Galaxy S23 Camera and Gallery August Update

There are several new changes including some new features, optimizations, and improvements.

The developers have improved the performance while switching between gallery and camera apps. Samsung added the Crop Zoom feature, which offers optical lens-level image quality by cropping the image taken with a high-resolution sensor. The update also added a 2x zoom icon in the video Super Steady mode for Galaxy S23 Ultra. The user can add the icon by heading to Camera Assistant > Crop Zoom (Optical Quality Crop Zoom).

The smartphone also received an update for portrait video mode effects. The frame rate of Big Circle, Color Point, and Glitch effects has increased from 24fps to 30fps.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5/Flip 5’s feature of improving Zoom image quality using AI deep learning is now ported to the Galaxy S23 series. Further, a lot of features are optimized including the blur for normal photos using a 50/200MP sensor, file size for motion photos is improved, motion blur is enhanced, and much more. The update also adjusts natural face colors when using selfie mode on the front camera photo mode.

Last, but not the least, it also improved the overall camera performance. The users can switch between different modes swiftly.

The update is now live in South Korea; however, users in other countries can check for the Camera and Gallery App updates by heading to the Galaxy Store.

Samsung also introduced the OneUI 6.0 based on the Android 14 update. The users can easily install OneUI 6.0 on Galaxy S23 and enjoy the latest changes and enhancements.
