What’s new in this update?

Google has started rolling out the much-anticipated July 2023 software update for its Pixel Watch, although it arrives slightly later than expected. This latest update brings the Pixel Watch up to the July 5, 2023, security patch level, with the build number RWDC.230705.001 being released on Wednesday evening.

Primarily focused on security enhancements, the July 2023 update includes the latest security patches to ensure Pixel Watch users have a secure and protected experience. This release follows last month’s substantial Feature Drop, which introduced notable additions such as SpO2 monitoring, high and low heart rate notifications, and an auto-pause feature for run/walks/bike rides. Additionally, Google Assistant for Wear OS received expanded language support, now including Italian, Portuguese, Swedish, Polish, and Spanish.

If the latest firmware update for the Pixel Watch does not appear automatically, users can manually trigger the download process. By repeatedly tapping the “Your watch is up to date” screen in the Settings menu under System > System updates, users can force the update to initiate.

Overall, the latest update for the Pixel Watch focuses on improving security and stability, ensuring that users can continue to rely on their devices for a seamless and protected experience. The July 2023 security update has also reached to Google Pixel phones, Pixel Tablet and Pixel Fold.
