Redmi is gearing up to launch the Redmi 12 smartphone on August 1 in India. It is expected to be a budget-range device featuring a premium design. Ahead of the launch, the brand has teased one of the color options coming to India.
The color option for the device is Moonstone Silver, featuring a mesmerizing color-changing finish that shifts between silver, pink, and blue based on the lighting angle. This design is possibly the anticipated “crystal glass” design teased by the brand, indicating the potential inclusion of a glass panel on the device’s back. The device will showcase a punch-hole display and a triple-camera setup, as seen in the provided image.

The Redmi 12 boasts a tall 6.79-inch IPS LCD panel with Full HD+ resolution, 550 nits peak brightness, and a smooth 90Hz refresh rate. It incorporates a side-mounted fingerprint scanner integrated into the power button.
Under the hood, the device is powered by a MediaTek Helio G88 SoC, accompanied by up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Notable features include a 3.5mm headphone jack, IP53 rating for water and dust resistance, and a 5000mAh battery with 33W fast charging capability.
