ZTE has officially confirmed the launch date of a flagship smartphone in China. It is the Nubia Z50S Pro. The device is set to launch in the country on July 20. Ahead of the launch, the brand has teased some features of the upcoming offering on the microblogging platform Weibo. The Z50S Pro will be the third addition to the Z50 series that comprises the standard and ultra (review) variants.

The teaser posters shared by ZTE reveal that the Nubia Z50S Pro will feature an upgraded 35mm main lens that is found on the Z50. It will also have a 7-element lens. The posters don’t reveal any additional details of the upcoming device. We can expect the brand to share more teasers in the day leading up to the launch event. 

The Nubia Z50S Pro was recently spotted on the Geekbench benchmarking platform and 3C certification site. The former revealed a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor featuring a primary core clocked at 3.36GHz under the hood. It will pack 12GB RAM onboard and we can expect more options at launch. The 3C certification revealed support for 80W fast charging. The upcoming offering will run on Android 13 OS out of the box. 

The rest of the specifications of the Nubia Z50S Pro remain unknown at the moment. We should learn more about the device at the launch event next week.
