Embracing Competition: Honor’s Fearless Approach to Market Challenges

Reflecting on the iPhone’s rise to prominence, Zhao Ming stated, “Twenty years ago, who would have imagined that the iPhone could surpass Nokia? We should not shy away from challenging the powerful iPhone. Success requires the presence of challengers and a belief in our own potential. Limiting ourselves by assuming success is impossible is counterproductive.”

While rumors about the iPhone and MacBook adopting a foldable screen persist, Honor remains unfazed. Zhao Ming expressed, “If the iPhone embraces foldable technology, it would be a positive development, indicating more players entering the industry. However, even if the iPhone remains a flat-screen design, Honor continues to thrive and push boundaries. In this competitive landscape, we should not fear or be anxious about any competitor’s actions. Fear only serves as self-consolation, as what we fear often becomes a reality.”

Highlighting the importance of strengthening their position, Zhao Ming emphasized that the focus should be on envisioning the future. While the iPhone possesses formidable systematic capabilities, Honor maintains a relentless pursuit of breakthrough innovations. As a result, it is challenging to predict who will emerge as the leader in the future. Honor is also planning to introduce a budget-friendly slim smartphone with external folding capability later this year.
