At the ongoing 2023 China Joy digital and entertainment expo in Shanghai, OnePlus made some announcements about its future plans. Liu Fengshuo, President of the OnePlus Products Line, who made the announcements, revealed that the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro will debut in August in China. He also revealed the name of the chipset that will drive the smartphone.

Fengshuo revealed that the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. In addition, the smartphone is also confirmed to feature an industry-first aerospace-grade 3D cooling system with a total area of 9,140 sq. mm.

Rumors are rife that the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro will be released with a different name in the global market. It is speculated that the device could be called the OnePlus 12R globally.

Recent reports have revealed that the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro will arrive with a 6.7-inch OLED display with an impressive 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. When it comes to photography, the device is expected to feature a 32-megapixel front-facing camera. On the back, it will come equipped with a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 48-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 32-megapixel telephoto lens.

The Ace 2 Pro will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. It will offer 16 GB / 24 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage. To keep the device powered throughout the day, it is said to house a substantial 5,500mAh battery with 150W rapid charging support.

The Ace 2 Pro will run on Android 13 OS and ColorOS 13.1. It will come with other features, such as an IR blaster, an alert slider, and an under-display fingerprint scanner.
