Last week POCO launched its first TWS earphones in India called POCO Pods. Now the brand has started teasing the arrival of a new smartphone in the country. The upcoming offering is confirmed to be the POCO M6 Pro 5G. It will arrive as the successor to the POCO M4 Pro 5G that debuted that was launched last year. POCO did not announce the Pro variant of the M5 smartphone.

POCO M6 Pro 5G teased officially

POCO has not revealed the launch date of the upcoming M6 Pro 5G. The teaser shared by the company’s India Country Head confirms the name of the device and also reveals the back panel design. The tweet says ‘Ready to disrupt the 5G game!’

As the name suggests, the POCO M6 Pro 5G will come with a 5G-compatible processor. The phone is seen in a Turquoise color option with an elongated Black camera module giving it a dual-toned look that is commonly found on POCO phones. The left side of the camera island has two sensors and an LED flash whereas the brand’s logo is on the right side. The camera configuration remains unknown at the moment. The POCO M6 Pro has a boxy design with curved edges and a SIM tray located on the left side of the device.

The POCO M6 Pro 5G has already bagged BIS certification and since it has now been teased, we can expect more teasers to drop along with an imminent launch. Rumors suggest that the upcoming smartphone may be a rebranded variant of the Redmi Note 12R that is available in China. If this indeed turns out to be true, then we can expect the device to feature a 6.79-inch FHD+ 90Hz display, Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC with up to 8GB RAM, and a 5,000mAh battery with 18W charging.
