Earlier today, Redmi held an event in China to reveal details about the Redmi K60 Extreme Edition aka the Redmi K60 Ultra. The smartphone is confirmed to launch later this month. The device was spotted on Geekbench benchmarking platform recently. The upcoming offering has also surfaced in leaks and rumors in the past. 

Redmi K60 Ultra details teased

Redmi has confirmed that the Redmi K60 Ultra will be powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 9200+ processor. The brand has partnered with MediaTek to optimize the chipset for enhanced performance. The device scored 1,774,714 points in the AnTuTu test result. This makes the device go up against Snapdragon 8 Gen 2-powered smartphones in the market. 

The Redmi K60 Ultra is also confirmed to be equipped with PixelWorks X7 independent display processor for an enhanced visual experience. It is said to offer up to 180Hz refresh rate at FHD+ resolution and 144Hz at WQHD+ resolution. The chipset is found in phones like the OnePlus 11, Honor Magic5 Pro, and the Realme GT 2 Explorer Edition. The Redmi K60 Ultra is also teased to feature Furious Engine 2.0 which seems to be a dedicated performance mode to unlock the maximum performance capabilities of the SoC and the independent chip. 

Redmi has not revealed any additional details of the Redmi K60 Ultra. The smartphone’s exact launch date also remains a mystery. As per reports, multiple devices including are expected to launch alongside the upcoming smartphone. These include the Xiaomi MIX Fold 3, Xiaomi Pad 6 Max, and Redmi Pad 2.
