Samsung is gradually rolling out new features and security patch for some new and old smartphones and smartwatches. The Korean giant is pushing OneUI 5.1.1 for the Galaxy Z Fold 4, and the August Security Patch 2023 is available for Galaxy Z Fold 5/Flip 5; Meanwhile, Galaxy Watch 5 is getting OneUI 5.1 update. The updates are currently limited to some regions but in the coming few weeks these updates will be out there globally.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5/Flip 5 August 2023 Update
The new update featuring the August 2023 Security Patch is rolling out to the Galaxy Z Flip 5 US variant via firmware F731USQS1AWH3 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 US variant via firmware F946USQS1AWH3. There are massive security enhancements including fixes for 74 security vulnerabilities. The global variants have already received the updates.
Galaxy Z Fold 4 OneUI 5.1.1 update
The OneUI 5.1.1 is perfected by the Korean giant for its foldable phones and tablets. The new version made its debut with some dedicated features for the new foldables i.e. Galaxy Z Fold/Flip 5. Now, the same set of features will be ported to its predecessors including the Galaxy Z Fold/Flip 4, Galaxy Z Fold/Flip 3, and other tablets. In the process, the company has started rolling out the update for Galaxy Z Fold 4 in some European countries.
The Galaxy Z Fold 4 is receiving the firmware version F936BXXU4DWH5 that weighs 2.76GB in size. In the coming days, we’d expect a wider rollout across the globe. However, interested users can check for the update by heading to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and Install.

Galaxy Watch 5 Receiving OneUI 5.0 Watch Updates
A major update of OneUI 5.0 Watch based on WearOS 4 is now rolling out for the Galaxy Watch 5. The new OneUI Watch version is launched with the Galaxy Watch 6. It features some additional enhancements and some exciting improvements. The same features are now made available for the Galaxy Watch 5 starting today.
The OneUI 5 Watch brings some welcome changes to Samsung’s Health and design aspects on Galaxy Watch 5. Other changes include better sleep insights which understand patterns and display the stats in intuitive UI. It even helps establish sleep habits via the Sleep Coaching feature. There have been massive improvements in fitness capabilities and coaching.
Enhancements like Fall Detection, SOS, and Medical Info related to user safety are also present in OneUI 5 Watch.

It will take a few days to weeks for the rollout to complete. However, we expect the same update for the Galaxy Watch 4 after a couple of weeks.
