iQOO is all set to launch the iQOO Z7 Pro 5G in India on Aug. 31. However, in China, the brand is gearing up to announce the iQOO Z8 series. As per a recent report, the brand may unveil the iQOO Z8 and the iQOO Z8x by early September in the home market. In a new Weibo post, tipster Digital Chat Station revealed the key specifications of the iQOO Z8.

According to the tipster, the iQOO Z8 will arrive with a 6.64-inch flat LCD panel with a centrally aligned punch-hole. The screen will offer a Full HD+ resolution of 2388 x 1080 pixels and a high refresh rate. While it is not mentioned in the leak, the screen may offer a 120Hz refresh rate like the iQOO Z7 (China variant), which was announced in March this year.

Under the hood, the iQOO Z8 will feature the Dimensity 8200 chipset. The leak claims that the device will come with 8 GB / 12 GB of RAM. As per a recent report, the highest variant of the device will offer 512 GB of storage, which in turn suggests that it may also come in 128 GB and 256 GB storage options.

The phone will run on OriginOS 3.0-based Android 13 and pack a 5,000mAh battery with 120W fast charging support. On the front, the device will have a 16-megapixel selfie camera, and its rear shell will feature a 64-megapixel (main, with OIS) + 2-megapixel (macro) dual camera unit.

The Snapdragon 728G-powered iQOO Z7 was made available with a starting price of 1,599 Yuan (~$219) in China. Hence, there is a possibility that the iQOO Z8 may arrive with a similar price tag. The Z8 is expected to arrive in three shades: black, blue, and Isle of Man (green).
