Xiaomi has launched a bunch of smartwatches in recent years, ranging from affordable budget options to those with a Sapphire crystal front. However, none of these watches run Google Wear OS as their software platform. Instead, the company sells them with its lightweight MIUI skin for wearables. This is about to change, as Xiaomi has confirmed that its upcoming smartwatch, the Watch 2 Pro, will finally adopt Wear OS.

Xiaomi confirmed through a recent post on X that the Watch 2 Pro will be launched globally on September 26. The wearables will be unveiled during an event in Berlin, likely alongside the Xiaomi 13T series. Xiaomi did not reveal any specifications of the smartwatch except to confirm it will be powered by Wear OS.

Xiaomi Watch 2 Pro

Previous reports revealed the Wear OS on the Xiaomi Watch 2 Pro will be skinned by MIUI. This means you might see a familiar look and some features that are present in other Xiaomi smartwatches. The Watch 2 Pro is also reported to include a Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1 processor with 2GB RAM and 32GB storage.

It is expected to flaunt a 1.43-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 466×466 pixels and 326 ppi pixel density. The wearable might also bring a 500mAh battery offering up to 72 hours of usage on a single charge, and an optional LTE variant. According to a recent report, the base model of the smartwatch will be available for €269.99, while the LTE version will cost you €329.99 in Europe. The price should vary from one region to another.
