Honor has officially announced that its new Honor X40 GT Racing Edition will be released on September 21st. It will join the X40 GT that was launched last October. However, even before the launch, news about the Honor X50 GT has started appearing online.

A tipster that goes by the name “Smart Pikachu” on Weibo posted that the Honor X50 GT is currently undergoing final testing. The tipster didn’t share any more details about the device, and there’s not much other news about the X50 series yet, so it’s best to take these rumors with a grain of salt.

Regardless, Honor is launching the X40 GT Racing Edition in China on September 21st. The X40 GT Racing Edition will have a similar design to the regular Honor X40 GT, with a large central ring design on the back and strips on the back.

As for specs, the Honor X40 GT Racing Edition is expected to come with two memory options: 8GB/256GB and 12GB/256GB. It is also likely to feature a 6.81-inch 1080P LCD screen with a 144Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate.

Powering the device will be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888, LPDDR5 memory, and UFS 3.1 storage. Likewise, it is expected to have a 50MP triple-camera system on the back and a 4800mAh battery with 66W fast charging.
