As electric bikes continue to evolve, the recently launched Rawrr Mantis could be a game-changer. A blend of mountain biking and motocross, the Mantis offers an affordable yet tech-rich alternative for off-road enthusiasts.
The Bike weighs merely 75 kilograms, which increases mobility
Priced at $4,999, the Mantis is relatively easy on the pocket. But that doesn’t mean it skimps on performance. To put the machine through its paces, Rawrr recruited six-time South African Motocross Champion Caleb Tennant. The bike has been rigorously tested, with over 20,000 kilometers ridden and 50,000 jumps executed.

The Rawrr Mantis comes equipped with a mid-mounted electric motor, delivering 10 horsepower and an impressive 35 pound-feet of torque. At a light 75 kilograms, including a 15-kilogram, 2.6-kilowatt-hour removable battery, the bike promises exhilarating off-road experiences. Plus, a claimed 75-mile range makes it ideal for long jaunts on trails.
What sets the Mantis apart is its unique aluminum frame, which grants it an athletic stance and a seat height of 850 millimeters—quite tall for an electric dirtbike in this class. With 200 millimeters of suspension travel and 310 millimeters of ground clearance, it’s designed to tackle any off-road challenge. Additional tech features include four ride modes, smartphone connectivity, and adjustable settings through a mobile app.
