Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 teased in India
A landing page for Samsung’s upcoming tablet is now live on Amazon India. The teasers available on the page do not explicitly mention the name of the device. However, the URL of the page confirms that the brand will announce the Galaxy Tab A9 on Oct. 5.
Last week, the Galaxy Tab A9 was spotted in the database of the Google Play Console with some of its key specifications. The listing revealed that the Tab A9, which has the SM-X115 model number, is equipped with a display (most likely an LCD panel) that offers a resolution of 800 x 1340 pixels. It will be powered by a tweaked version of the Helio G99 chipset and 4 GB of RAM.
The Galaxy Tab A9 will come preloaded with Android 13. The tablet is also said to come with support for 4G connectivity. The other details of Tab A9 are yet to be revealed. Apart from India, the tablet is expected to release in multiple markets, like the UAE and Thailand.
Reports have also revealed the existence of another tablet dubbed the Galaxy Tab A9+ 5G, which will be a higher version of the Tab A9 and is expected to support 5G connectivity. Since the Plus edition has also received certification from India’s BIS authority, it appears that the tablet will also launch in the country. However, it is unclear whether it will also debut on Oct. 5.
