Following a recent incremental update on the stable build for the OnePlus 10R, the smartphone is receiving the first OxygenOS 14 Open Beta 1 update. The new update is available for the first 5000 applicants and brings several new features and luxuries of Android 14. Interested users could be the first to enjoy the new features and improvements, but it may bring some bugs too.

The Open Beta build is only recommended for users who are technically sound with the Open Beta concept and its disadvantages. However, the program is currently available for the OnePlus 10R India variants.

There are many new changes, and features which will surely uplift the experience. Below is the official changelog:

 • Improves Clone Phone to allow quicker new device verification and data migration. 

 • Improves cloud photo service by Google Photos


Security and privacy

 • Improves photo and video-related permission management for safer access by apps.


Performance optimization

 • Improves system stability, the launch speed of apps and the smoothness of animations.

 • Adds support for app-specific refresh rates to improve user experience.


Aquamorphic Design

 • Upgrades Aquamorphic Design with a natural, gentle and clearer colour style for a more comfortable colour experience.

 • Adds Aquamorphic-themed ringtones and revamps the system notification sounds.  • Improves system animations by making them even smoother.


User Care

 • Adds a carbon tracking AOD that visualizes the carbon emissions you avoid by walking instead of driving.

Steps to Install OxygenOS 14 Open Beta

1.The OnePlus 10R must be running either of these firmware versions to install the OxygenOS 14 Open Beta 1:

  • CPH2411_13.1.0.600(EX01)
  • CPH2423_13.1.0.600(EX01)
  • CPH2411_13.1.0.590(EX01)
  • CPH2423_13.1.0.590(EX01)

Note: Moreover, the user must have 4GB of free storage space on the device.

2. Then, head over to Settings > About device > Tap up to date > Tap icon on the top right > Beta program > Follow the steps to apply.

(Note: It will take the backend team 5-3 working days to verify and respond to your application. )

3. After approval, the user can head over to Settings > About device > Download Now.
