Over the last couple of weeks, there have been various rumors and leaks regarding Apple refreshing its iPad lineup. Now, a fresh report has revealed more details regarding the new iPad Air and iPad Pro models from the series. So here are all the details.

New OLED Apple iPad Pro and 12.9 iPad Air

The Cupertino based giant is apparently planning on unveiling a new 12.9-inch iPad Air model as well as the iPad Pro with an OLED display. According to known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the refreshed iPad Air and iPad Pro will be launching next year. The iPad Air is expected to launch sometime in the beginning of the year, while the higher end Pro version could roll out by the second quarter of this year.

Apple iPad lineup refresh 2024

Kuo adds that the iPad Air will arrive in a 12.9-inch model alongside the 10.9-inch version for the first time ever. However, it will skip the mini LED display that comes on this iPad Pro-sized display. Notably, the analyst believes that the brand will add the oxide backplane, which improve performance for the smaller variant. The upcoming iPad Pros will reportedly launch in two M3 chip models.

Although, these will drop the mini LED panels in favor of the OLED screens. Kuo states that the Pro models will use the same LTPO backplane as the iPhone 15 Pros. Apart from this, we can assume that the other iPad versions will likely get upgrades across the board and could release sometime in the second half of 2024.
