Unihertz is a lesser-known Chinese smartphone brand that specializes in niche devices. The company is widely associated with its Jelly lineup of compact smartphones, in addition to phones with a physical QWERTY keyboard.
The firm also sells other types of handsets. Earlier this year, it released a Nothing Phone (1) clone called Unihertz Luna. Now, it has launched a rugged smartphone with a battery capacity like a power bank.
A smartphone with 23800mAh battery and 120W charging support
The latest product from Unihertz is officially called Tank 3. As the name suggests, it is the third-gen model in the Tank lineup.
Unlike its predecessors, the Tank 3 offers 5G connectivity and houses a much larger battery. To be precise, it draws energy from a whopping 23,800mAh battery.
This giant battery is rated to provide 1,800 hours of standby time, 118 hours of call, 98 hours of music playback, 48 hours of video playback, and 38 hours of gaming.
The phone carries support for 120W wired charging and reverse charging to share juice with other devices. Thus, the battery can be filled from 0-90% in just 90 minutes (an hour and a half).
The rest of the specs of Unihertz Tank 3 aren’t bad either despite it being a rugged smartphone. The device is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8200 chip paired with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage. It boots Android 13 and supports storage expansion via MicroSD cards (up to 2TB).
It sports a 6.79-inch display on the front with a resolution of 2460 x 1080 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. There’s a triple camera system comprising a 200MP primary sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide unit, and a 64MP night vision snapper. On the front, there’s a 50MP selfie camera.
The handset is IP68-rated for dust and water resistance. It also offers features, such as a 40m laser range finder, an infrared sensor, an LED flashlight with 1200 lumens brightness level, two customizable side buttons, and a fingerprint sensor.
The connectivity options on the phone include dual SIM, sub-6GHz 5G, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, GNSS, and NFC. Last but not least, it measures 179 x 86 x 31mm in dimensions and weighs 666g.
The Unihertz Tank 3 is priced at $499.99. It is up for sale on AliExpress.
