The OnePlus Open was launched in the global markets last month. The first-ever foldable phone from the company saw record one-day sales in North America and India markets. The device received its first update last month bringing several improvements. Now, the brand is rolling out a new update that introduces support for eSIM along with some new changes. Read on to know everything about it below.

OnePlus Open receiving a new update

The new update for the OnePlus Open is rolled out in a phased manner. Hence it might take some time to reach all devices. The latest update has the version number CPH2551_13.2.0.116 and itt weighs 301.17MB in size. The OS is still based on Android 13.

The OnePlus Open already supports eSIM connectivity. However, it wasn’t enabled in some markets like India. The new update enables the functionality. For those unaware, eSIM is a digital SIM and an alternative to physical SIM cards. It’s worth noting that using eSIM will disable the second physical SIM and it can be enabled again by disabling the eSIM. An EID is required for adding the eSIM. It can be found by navigating to About Device > Status > EID.

Apart from the added support for eSIM functionality, the OnePlus Open’s telephoto camera is also getting increased clarity for photos taken at higher zoom. Pictures are also said to have better color accuracy and improved tones in Photo and Pro mode.

The latest update also brings improvements to system stability and performance. It also fixes a slow response issue while holding a profile photo in We Chat on the cover screen and the unresponsive problem with the eraser tool in Photos.
