OnePlus has confirmed through its Weibo handle that the OnePlus 12 will be announced on Dec. 4 in China. December 4th. The OP12 will be announced in celebration of the 10th anniversary of the company. While there is no confirmation yet, the brand is expected to announce the OnePlus Ace 3 alongside the OP12 on the said date.

For those who don’t know, the OnePlus was founded on Oct. 14, 2012. On June 16, 2021, Oppo announced its merger with OnePlus, with the latter continuing to operate as an independent brand under the Oppo umbrella. Here is a look at what to expect from the OnePlus 12.

Like the Xiaomi 14 series and the iQOO 12 lineup, the OnePlus 12 will come equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. The brand has already confirmed that its rear camera setup will be headlined by the LYT-T808 main camera sensor along with the HyperTone camera optimizations. As per reports, the primary camera will be coupled with a 48-megapixel IMX581 ultra-wide lens and a 64-megapixel OmniVision OV64B periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. For selfies, the device is expected to feature a 32-megapixel front-facing camera.

As per reports, the OnePlus 12 will have a 6.82-inch BOE X1 OLED display that offers a 2K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It is expected to run on ColorOS 14-based Android 14.

The highest configuration variant of the OnePlus 12 is expected to offer 16 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage. It is likely to pack a 5,400mAh battery, which may support 100W wired and 50W wireless charging.

OnePlus may also unveil the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2-powered OnePlus Ace 3 along with the OnePlus 12 on Dec. 4. Hopefully, the company will release an official confirmation on it in the next few days. As per reports, the OnePlus 12 will be heading to the global market in January. It is speculated that the Ace 3 will be rebranded as the OnePlus 12R in the global market.
