In an exclusive report, The Elec has revealed that Samsung‘s highly anticipated Galaxy S24 series, comprising the S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra, is set to make its global debut on January 17, 2024. Although not officially confirmed by the tech giant on its channels, The Elec cites an unnamed Samsung Electronics official as the source of this announcement.
The Elec’s report not only discloses the launch date but also spills the beans on the pre-order and sale details for the Galaxy S24 series. Pre-orders for these cutting-edge smartphones will kick off on January 17, immediately following the launch. Those who secure their orders early can expect to receive their devices between January 26 and 30. The general sale of the Galaxy S24 series is slated to commence on January 30. Here’s a sneak peek at the expected specifications of the Samsung Galaxy S24 series.
Galaxy S24 & S24+ specs:
Display features of the S24 & S24+ will include a Dynamic AMOLED 2x LTPO panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, and under the hood, users can expect a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and Exynos 2400 SoC in selected markets. The devices will offer up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage, running on OneUI 6 based on Android 14.
For photography, the devices will have a 50 MP primary lens, a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 10MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. The front camera boasts a 12MP sensor and the battery comes in at 4,700mAh for the Galaxy S23 and 4,900mAh for the Galaxy S23+, supporting 45W wired charging and wireless charging.
Galaxy S24 Ultra specs:
The Galaxy S24 Ultra is expected to feature a Dynamic AMOLED 2x LTPO panel with a 144Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it will have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, rumored to be paired with up to 16GB RAM and 2TB storage. It will have Android 14-based OneUI 6 out of the box. The device will have a 5,000mAh battery supporting 45W wired charging and wireless charging.
For photography, it will feature a 200 MP primary lens, a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 50MP periscope lens with 5x optical zoom, and a 10MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. The front camera is equipped with a 12MP sensor.
