Realme had first announced the Narzo 50A Prime smartphone back in 2022. Now, the company is rolling out a major software update that upgrades the Narzo 50A Prime to the Android 13 operating system.

The Chinese smartphone maker is releasing the Android 13 update in a staggered manner. This means that only a small portion of the Narzo 50A Prime owners will get the update right now, while a broader roll out will kick off soon. This delayed release helps in dealing with any critical issues or major bugs that could harm all users.

With the Android 13 update, the company is promising enhancements in the device’s system stability. Furthermore, it upgrades the Android security patch to September 2023. Realme is even allowing users to roll back the update by finding the zip package from the official Realme server and installing it locally. For those unaware, the Realme Narzo 50A Prime is a budget smartphone that sports a 6.6-inch IPS LCD display that offers Full HD+ resolution and 600 nits of peak brightness.

The rear has a 50-megapixel dual camera setup, while the front houses aan 8-megapixel selfie shooter. Other notable features include UNISOC T612 SoC, up to 128GB of internal storage and 4GB of RAM, 3.5mm headphone hack, and dual SIM support. The device was available in India in two color options, namely Flash Black and Flash Blue.
