Last week, Samsung debuted a new affordable smartphone in the Indian market called the Galaxy A05. The device features an HD+ display paired with MediaTek Helio G85 SoC and a dual camera setup. The smartphone has now started selling on the brand’s website. Here are the details.

The Galaxy A05 is now on sale at Samsung’s Indian website. Available in three colors, namely Black, Light Green, and Silver, the device has a price tag of ₹9,999 for the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage model. Alternatively, the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage model is going for ₹12,499.

The Samsung Galaxy A05 features a 6.7-inch Infinity-U display with HD+ resolution. Internally, the Samsung Galaxy A05 runs on a MediaTek Helio G85 processor and offers up to 6GB of RAM paired with 128GB of storage, expandable via a microSD card slot.

For optics, it features a 50MP main sensor and a 2MP depth lens. While on the front it uses an 8MP camera which comes with a face unlock feature since the phone lacks a fingerprint sensor.

Powering the device is a 5,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging support. It operates on Android 13-based OneUI 5.1 Core out of the box. Connectivity options for the Samsung Galaxy A05 include 4G, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.3, and a USB-C port.

Separately, POCO has just launched a new 8GB RAM + 256GB variant of the POCO M6 Pro 5G smartphone, priced at Rs 14,999 in India.
