Alongside the launch of the Redmi K70 series, Redmi Buds 5 Pro, RedmiBook laptop, and more, the Xiaomi sub-brand also announced a wearable device called the Redmi Watch 4. The latest smartwatch arrives as the successor to the Redmi Watch 3. It packs significant upgrades over its predecessor. 

Redmi Watch 4 specifications and features

The Redmi Watch 4 sports a square dial with an aluminium alloy chassis making it the brand’s first smartwatch with a metal unibody. There is a rotating stainless steel crown on the right side with a ‘diamond cut’ design. The device is IP68-certified water-resistant up to 50 meters. 

The Redmi Watch 4 features premium display specifications. It has a large 1.97-inch AMOLED screen with a 60Hz refresh rate for smooth UI and animations. It bears a resolution of 390 x 450 pixels and also offers 600 nits peak brightness making it suitable for outdoor use and under harsh sunlight. The smartwatch uses LTPS technology that will aid in longer battery life. 

On the fitness front, the Redmi Watch 4 is equipped with a heart-rate monitor, SpO2 sensor, sleep and stress tracker, and menstrual cycle monitor for women. The wearable device packs support for more than 150 sports modes. It also packs a built-in GPS for outdoor workouts.

The Redmi Watch 4 is backed by a 470mAh battery unit that is claimed to offer a battery life of up to 20 days under typical usage. It comes with NFC and Bluetooth 5.3. The wearable device offers a host of convenient features.

The Redmi Watch 4 is priced at CNY 499 (~$70). The smartwatch is offered in a host of strap options. It is available for purchase starting today.
