Retailer confirms previous leaks of Galaxy A25 5G

According to Swiss retailer Digitec (via GSMArena), the Galaxy A25 5G will start shipping on December 18. The handset will cost CHF 279 (~$320) in Switzerland.

The pricing and availability date matches a leak from last month. This should be the price for the base 6GB +128GB variant. The device will be also available in an 8GB + 256GB version.

Going by the leaks, the phone may be released in multiple markets in the coming days. Most of them will likely be European countries.

The Galaxy A25 5G will look like any other Samsung smartphone with vertically aligned individual cameras and a flat frame design. It will come in black, blue, and yellow color options.

The handset will sport a 6.5-inch AMOLED display with an FHD+ (2340 x 1080 pixels) resolution. The panel will offer up to a 120Hz refresh rate and will feature a dewdrop notch.

The device will be powered by an Exynos 1280 chip. It will boot One UI 6 based on Android 14. Samsung will provide four generations of OS upgrades and 5 years of security updates.

There will be a triple camera setup on the rear comprising an OIS-assisted 50MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide unit, and a 2MP macro snapper. On the front, there will be a 13MP shooter for selfies and video calls.

The handset will arrive with dual SIM 5G, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.1, GNSS, NFC, USB Type-C, 3.5mm headphone jack, and MicroSD card slot. Last but not least, it will draw energy from a 5,000mAh battery and support 15W charging.
