Vivo introduced the Vivo X100 and X100 Pro featuring the Dimensity 9300 chipset in China last month. Additionally, the company has been developing the Vivo X100 Pro+, powered by the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 3 chipset. However, according to recent leaks, the launch of the X100 Pro+ is reportedly delayed from the initially rumored timeframe.

Vivo X100 Pro+ launch delayed

Recent reports have claimed that the Vivo X100 Pro+ will be announced in April, along with some other devices, such as the Vivo X Fold 3 series of foldable phones. However, a recent Weibo post by tipster Digital Chat Station reveals that Vivo’s next launch event in China will see the arrival of three products, such as the Vivo Pad 3 tablet, the Vivo 100’s flat-screen variant (likely to be dubbed Vivo X100s), and the Vivo X Fold 3 series. While the tipster did not mention it, it appears that these devices may go official in March or April 2024.

The Pad 3 and X100s are said to be equipped with the Dimensity 9300 chipset. On the other hand, the X Fold 3 series will arrive with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. He added that the arrival of the Vivo X100 Pro+ has been delayed; however, details regarding the revised launch timeframe have not been disclosed. Likely, the Vivo X100 Pro+ may still go official within the first half of 2024.

Vivo is also said to be working on the Vivo X Flip 2 foldable phone. It is unclear whether it will launch with the Vivo X Fold 3 or later with the Vivo X100 Pro+.

In related news, Vivo recently confirmed that the Vivo X100 and X100 Pro will launch on Dec. 14 in the global market. The landing page for the X100 lineup is now live, and the brand is currently receiving pre-orders for the X100 and X100 Pro.
