OPPO has been working hard to roll out its ColorOS 14 update to more and more devices. After updating the OPPO A77, A77s, and A57 to Android 14, the brand has now extended an invitation to Indian OPPO A38 users to participate in the Beta Testing Program for Android 14.

The company aims to recruit 5000 participants for this Open Beta, with applications accepted from December 25 to December 28. Eligible participants should ensure their devices are updated to version CPH2579_14.0.0.80(EX01) before applying.

Interested users should possess experience using mobile phones, be open to potential issues like instability and incompatibility associated with Alpha versions, and have sufficient time to dedicate to testing the update. OPPO also welcomes those curious about exploring the Android 14 update.

How to apply:

  1. Navigate to Settings > About device > Tap the top of the page > Tap the icon on the top right > Trial versions > Beta. Fill in your information; this is crucial as we will send you a satisfaction survey along with a message to collect your feedback. Finally, click on “Apply Now.”
  2. After a successful application, proceed to update your device by going to About device and selecting “Download Now.”

OPPO will review your application within five workdays. OPPO is transparent about potential issues with the Open Beta Test version, cautioning users about possible problems like device heating, lagging, and fast battery draining. They suggest solutions such as turning off the screen and charging the device overnight or continuing regular usage, assuring users that the device should normalize within a few days.
