ASUS is gearing up to launch the ROG Phone 8 series on January 8. The lineup is expected to comprise of standard and pro variants. The Taiwanese brand has already given us an official look at the upcoming offering’s back panel design as well as teased some key details. Now, ahead of the launch, the ROG Phone 8 Pro has surfaced in a fresh set of high-res leaked renders. 

ASUS ROG Phone 8 Pro leaked renders reveal design from all angles

Right off the bat, the ASUS ROG Phone 8 Pro is seen with a boxy design with the power and volume rocker buttons on the right edge. The left side of the frame has an additional USB-C port. On the front, the ROG Phone 8 Pro has a center-aligned punch-hole cutout. The screen is surrounded by very narrow bezels on all sides that should offer an immersive experience. 

The ASUS ROG Phone 8 Pro will have the same protruding squarish camera island that cuts off from the right edge. It houses three camera sensors and there is a text that confirms 8K ultra HD video recording. As per the leaked renders, the Pro model is expected to have a differently illuminated ROG logo compared to the standard variant. The ROG logo on the device is made up of dots that could be programmable with special LED dots. 

The bottom of the ROG Phone 8 Pro has a USB-C port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a speaker grille, and a SIM tray. 

The ASUS ROG Phone 8 Pro is already confirmed to be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. It will come with an IP68 certification for dust and water resistance. The upcoming offering is also expected to pack up to 10x telephoto mode. It is also teased to come with anti-shake gimbal for shooting smooth videos.
