Last week, Honor took off covers from the Honor 90 GT smartphone in China. While it features the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset, Honor claims that with the support of the company’s GPU Turbo, its gaming performance can surpass that of Snapdragon 8 Gen 2-powered devices. Starting today, the X50 GT is available for purchase with an enticing price of 1,999 Yuan (~$280).

In China, the Honor X50 GT is available in four configurations, such as 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage, 16 GB RAM + 256 GB storage, 16 GB RAM + 512 GB storage, and 16 GB RAM + 1 TB storage. These models are priced at 1,999 Yuan (~$280), 2,299 Yuan (~$325), 2,499 Yuan (~$350), and 2,799 Yuan (~$395). It can be purchased in shades like black and silver.

Honor X50 GT specifications

The Honor X50 GT features a 6.78-inch curved-edge OLED display with a 1.5K resolution of 2652 x 1200 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a 1920Hz PWM high-frequency dimming. Powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip, it boasts LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. The device is equipped with a 5,800mAh battery that supports 35W fast charging.

Its camera setup includes an 8-megapixel front camera and a dual rear camera system with a 108-megapixel primary camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. To manage heat, it incorporates a 5100mm² VC heat dissipation unit. Additional features comprise an in-display fingerprint scanner, an IR blaster, and an IP53 rating for water resistance. The Honor X50 GT runs on Android 14 with MagicOS 7.2. 

The Honor X50 GT is said to be aimed at an online audience in China. For the offline market, the company is selling a rebranded device named the Honor X50 Pro.
