The Redmi Note 12T Pro is a China-exclusive smartphone. It was announced at the end of May 2024.

The device is powered by a MediaTek Dimensiy 8200-Ultra chipset. Therefore, it is the second-most powerful model in the Redmi Note 12 lineup after the Redmi Note 12 Turbo, which houses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 2 SoC.

Ahead of the Chinese New Year, the phone is heavily discounted right now.

The Redmi Note 12T Pro carries an official price tag of ¥1,799 (~$250) for the 12GB RAM + 256GB variant.

JD (Jingdong) is offering a flat ¥500 (~$70) discount. Additionally, buyers can apply a ¥50 (~$5) discount coupon. Thus, the effective price of the handset comes down to ¥1,249 (~$175).

For under $200, Chinese consumers are getting a more value-for-money smartphone than consumers in other markets.

The Redmi Note 12T Pro flaunts a 6.6-inch centered punch-hole display. The LCD panel offers a resolution of 2460 x 1080 pixels (FHD+), a 144Hz refresh rate, and a 650 nits peak brightness level. The screen also supports Dolby Vision content.

The phone houses a MediaTek Dimensity 8200-Ultra chip along with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. It currently boots Android 13-based MIUI 14 and will be updated to HyperOS based on Android 14 soon.

It comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack, in addition to dual stereo speakers and an IR blaster. There’s a 16MP selfie camera on the front and a triple-camera system on the rear comprising a 64MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultrawide unit, and a 2MP macro snapper.

Lastly, the handset draws energy from a 5,080mAh battery and supports 67W wired charging.
