Xiaomi debuted the Redmi Note 13 series in China at the end of September. The smartphones started making their way to numerous international markets from the  first week of January.

Nearly four months after their original release, the company is gearing up to introduce a special edition of the pro model. This new variant celebrates the Chinese New Year.

Ahead of its official announcement, the said phone has leaked in live images.

As per pictures circulating on Weibo, the upcoming special edition handset from the sub-brand of Xiaomi is officially called Redmi Note 13 Pro 2024 New Year Edition.

This version of the device arrives in a bright red color with black accents. The back panel is red while the camera module and the frame are in black.

The product’s retail box has different  graphics compared to the regular box. At present, we do not have info on whether the in-box contents are themed or not.

At the same time, we cannot rule out the possibility of the  smartphone to come with Chinese New Year theme, wallpapers, ringtones, and other customizations.

Redmi is yet to officially tease the arrival of this product.

Redmi Note 13 Pro Specifications

The Redmi Note 13 Pro is built around a 6.67-inch centered punch-hole OLED display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. The screen offers a resolution of 2712 x 1220 pixels (1.5K), a 120Hz refresh erate, and a 240Hz touch samopling rate. The panel supports 1920Hz PWM dimming, 1800 nits peak brightness level, and Dolby Vision.

Under the hood, the phone houes a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC. The chipset is paired with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. As for software, it boots Android 13-based MIUI 14.

The device sports a triple camera system on the rear comprising an OIS-assisted 200MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultrawide unit, and a 2MP macro snapper. On the front, it has a 16MP selfie shooter.

The connectivity options on the handset include dual SIM, 5G, WiFi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, GNSS, NFC, and USB Type-C. It also comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack, Dolby Atmos-supported dual stereo speakers, an IR blaster,  an in-screen fingerprint sensor, and an IP54 rating.

Last but not least, the smartphone is backed by a 5,100mAh battery and supports 67W wired charging.
