Earlier today, Huawei announced that it will launch Pocket 2 on February 22. For the unaware, Pocket is Huawei’s clamshell foldable smartphone lineup.

So far, the company has released two vertical foldable phones, namely Pocket and Pocket S. The Pocket 2 will succeed the latter.

According to a reliable tipster, this handset will be accompanied by a pair of neckband-style earphones whose predecessor was launched way back in 2020.

Huawei FreeLace Pro

A Chinese leaker who goes by ‘Uncle looking at the mountains’ on Weibo claims that Huawei Freelace Pro 2 will be launched alongside the Huawei Pocket 2.

For the unaware, the original Huawei Freelace Pro was released in August 2020. It is a pair of neckband-style wireless earphones.

The audio accessory arrives in three colors. The product is priced premium comparatively. It was released at ¥599 at launch but offers active noise cancellation (ANC).

At present, we don’t have details on its successor. But it should be better than the original.

Thus, we can expect Huawei Freelace Pro 2 to offer better audio quality, longer battery life, and superior active noise cancellation. It is worth noting that these are merely assumptions from our end and we don’t know how the actual product will turn out.

We are looking forward to learning more about these earphones in the coming days. Its features could leak before the official announcement later this week.
