BYD, the Chinese EV Giant, has unveiled its latest – the YANGWANG U9. This pure electric supercar boasts impressive credentials, including a starting price of 1.68 million RMB (approximately USD 250,000).

The car has a staggering 1,300 horsepower and 1680Nm of Torque

The U9 is powered by the e4 platform, a system featuring four independent electric motors. This translates to agile handling, precise control, and a staggering 1,300 horsepower and 1680Nm of torque.

Beyond raw power, the U9 aims to offer a well-rounded driving experience. The BYD DiSus-X Intelligent Body Control System provides an adjustable suspension, adapting to various driving conditions. This system even allows the U9 to perform a unique trick – “dancing” to music.

Performance remains a key focus, with the U9 reaching a top speed of 309 km/h (192 mph) and accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h (0 to 62 mph) in a mere 2.36 seconds. Rigorous testing has led to a refined thermal management system, ensuring optimal performance even in demanding situations. Additionally, a 500 kW fast-charging system significantly reduces charging times.

Safety is paramount in the U9, with a Super Carbon-fiber Cabin and next-generation CTB technology. This combination delivers exceptional torsional stiffness and superior strength, safeguarding passengers in any situation. The U9’s DiLink150 platform, powered by advanced 5G chips, offers a personalized driving experience. It features a dedicated track driving assistant, providing valuable information and support for aspiring racers.
