Redmi is reportedly working on a new Note 13-series phone for the Chinese market. So far, the brand has launched multiple Note 13-series phones, such as the Redmi Note 13 5G, Note 13 Pro 5G, Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G, Redmi Note 13R, and Redmi Note 13R Pro. The upcoming Redmi Note 13 Turbo will be the most powerful phone in the series, as it is now tipped to feature the Snapdragon 8-series chipset.

Redmi Note 13 Turbo chipset tipped

Redmi unveiled the Redmi Note 12 Turbo with the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 chipset in March 2023 in China. A rebranded version of the phone, named the Poco F5, was announced for the global market in May 2023. Reports suggest that the upcoming Redmi Note 13 Turbo, which will be a China-exclusive phone, will be repackaged as the Poco F6 in the global market.

Qualcomm is expected to announce the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 on March 18 in China. The US-based chip maker is also expected to unveil the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, which is said to be an underclocked version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 (tentative name), in the coming days.

Redmi Note 13 Turbo chipset

Initial reports suggested that the Note 13 Turbo might use the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 since the Note 12 Turbo used the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2. However, the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip will power the Note 13 Turbo, according to a leak by tipster Smart Pikachu. As can be seen in the image, the leaker has also claimed that Redmi’s new tablet is also coming soon. It remains to be seen whether the Note 13 Turbo and the new tablet break cover together in April.

Now that the Note 13 Turbo is said to arrive with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, the Poco F6, being its rebranded version, may feature the same chip. Probably, it may debut in April or May on the global market.

In the Chinese market, the Redmi Note 13 Turbo will rival other Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 phones, such as the iQOO Z9 Turbo and the Realme GT Neo 6.
