Lava has officially launched the Lava O2 smartphone in the Indian market. The company released this model with a premium design despite its budget price tag. The latest phone arrives mere weeks after the Lava Blaze Curve‘s launch. So now, let’s have a look at the O2’s pricing & launch offers.

The smartphone brand announced the Lava O2 with a sleek glass design, which is uncommon for its budget price segment. It features an AG glass back that adds to its premium aesthetic. Meanwhile, the front sports a 6.5-inch LCD panel that offers HD+ resolution and 90Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the smartphone is equipped with the UNISOC T616 processor, which is paired with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The company claims that this chipset helps the Lava O2 is the fastest phone in this segment.

Users can further expand memory via 8GB virtual RAM expansion and up to 512GB of microSD card slot. The rear packs a 50-megapixel dual camera setup with an LED flash while the front houses an 8-megapixel selfie shooter. A large 5,000mAh battery pack that supports 18W wired fast charging. Other notable features include Dual SIM, side mounted fingerprint scanner, face unlock, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The Lava O2 has been unveiled in India in multiple attractive color options, namely Majestic Purple, Royal Gold, and Imperial Green. This model was released in the region for 8,499 INR (roughly 102 US Dollars). However, the brand is even offering a 500 INR discount, which brings the effective price tag down to just 7,999 INR. The first sale will kick off on March 27 and the device will be exclusively available via Amazon and Lava official website.
